Hors D' Oeuvres Asian Style Chicken Won Ton “Tacos” (Hoisin BBQ Sauce With Pickled Asian Greens And Scallions) Crispy Fried Jumbo Shrimp Swords (Crystal Hot Sauce And Lime Aioli)
The 2013 Joel Gott Sauvignon Blanc has aromas of pineapple, ripe stone fruit and citrus. Warmer tropical aromatics are characteristic of a favorite vineyard in Monterey, while Napa Valley vineyards offer stone fruit flavors, and fruit from Lake County brings citrus qualities to their Sauvignon Blanc blend. Combining fruit from throughout the state creates a balanced, food-friendly wine. To preserve the wine’s fruit and acidity, it is fermented and aged in stainless steel tanks, a small percentage of which are smaller stainless steel drums that give the wine added texture and roundness from sur lie aging. The wine fills the palate with bright fruit flavors and a round fullness, finishing with crisp, refreshing acidity.

Hors D' Oeuvres Asian Style Chicken Won Ton “Tacos” (Hoisin BBQ Sauce With Pickled Asian Greens And Scallions) Crispy Fried Jumbo Shrimp Swords (Crystal Hot Sauce And Lime Aioli)
Oregon’s Willamette Valley is ideal for growing Pinot Gris because of its cool weather climate. The 2014 growing season was marked by above average daytime temperatures that were balanced out by cooler than normal summer nights. These larger swings between daytime and nighttime temperatures allowed the fruit to evenly ripen while retaining even more of its bright acidity and varietal fruit characteristics. The fruit was picked in early September at optimal ripeness, resulting in good flavor and concentration. After being harvested, the fruit was hand sorted and gently pressed before going through a long, cool fermentation in stainless steel tanks to preserve the varietal characteristics and acidity. The 2014 Joel Gott Pinot Grigio has white peach aromas with floral notes. On the palate, the wine is balanced, opening with bright acidity and refreshing Meyer lemon citrus flavors, followed by a juicy mid-palate and a long finish.

Appetizer Course Roasted Wild Mushroom & Boursin Cheese Bruschetta (Micro Basil, Balsamic Syrup And Oven Dried Cherry Tomato)
Joel Gott sourced fruit from Santa Barbara County, part of the Central Coast AVA, because of its ideal growing conditions for creating the style of Pinot Noir that they like to make. Vineyards closest to the coast experience cool, foggy mornings and warmer afternoons, bringing out ripe fruit flavors in the grapes. Fruit from vineyards towards the center of the county add cherry flavors, as well as spice and minerality to the wine. Vineyards in the coldest and windiest areas have smaller yields, giving the wine its structure and tannins. This wine was aged in 57% new French oak barrels and 43% 1- and 2-year old French oak barrels. The 2013 Santa Barbara Pinot Noir has aromas of sweet cherries and baking spices with a hint of smoke. On the palate, ripe red fruit flavors are followed by elegantly balanced acidity and soft, velvety tannins.

Seafood Course Tuscan Style Seafood Stew (Slow Simmered Calamari, Shrimp And Clams In A Rich Broth Of Wine, Tomatoes And Lemon Zest With Herbs)
Alakai, a Rhône-style blend of Grenache and Syrah, is dark and structured, but with finesse and elegance. Within California, the ocean winds in Monterey best mirror conditions in France’s Rhône Valley, where wind-stressed vines produce fewer clusters with more concentrated flavors, making for spicy, lush, food-friendly wines. Because of these conditions, the Grenache is sourced in large part from Monterey, while Syrah is sourced from Knights Valley, which adds a layer of white pepper spice. During the 2012 harvest, low rainfall and a late summer heat wave were cause for ideal ripeness, deep color and good structure. The 2012 Joel Gott Alakai Grenache has aromatics of black cherries, blackberries and hints of white pepper. The flavors are elegant and balanced, rounded out by ripe fruit flavors and smooth tannins.

Beef Course Black Pepper & Rosemary Roasted Strip Steak (Sweet Potato, Roasted Pepper And Garlic Hash, With Scallions Red Wine Reduction And Brie Cheese)
The largest component of the blend for the Joel Gott Zinfandel comes from decades-old, head-trained vines in Lodi, which produce small clusters, giving the wine its intense color and concentration. Fruit from both the Russian River and Dry Creek Valleys add even more concentration and give the wine complex fruit flavors. The Shenandoah Valley appellation provides the wine with its red fruit and spice characteristics for which the Zinfandel varietal is known. Blended, the various appellations produce a balanced, yet jammy and rich, Zinfandel. The 2012 Joel Gott Zinfandel has aromas of roasted plum and black cherries with notes of vanilla and spice. On the palate, rich fruit flavors and sweet tannins are followed by a delicate, balanced finish.

Dessert Course Dark Chocolate & Bing Cherry Black Forest Cake (Clove And Ginger Spiced Red Wine Caramel With Whipped Cream And Crispy Carrot Threads)
The 2013 vintage was one for the record books, with a long growing season and plentiful sunshine, producing intense flavors and cellar-worthy tannins. Napa fruit comes from highly regarded Howell Mountain as well as South Napa vineyards and is complex with great depth; Lake County fruit is from the Red Hills Appellation, planted on obsidian volcanic soil, which lends minerality and rich texture; Central Coast fruit from Paso Robles and Hames Valley in Monterey County adds good flavor maturity and development. Sourcing from these varied regions across California helped to create an elegant, balanced wine. After harvest, fruit from each vineyard is hand-sorted at the winery and de-stemmed before being fermented in individual lots. The lots are aged for just over a year in oak and tasted frequently for tannin flavor development. Finally, the lots are blended to balance the characteristics of each vineyard. The 2013 Joel Gott 815 Cabernet Sauvignon has aromatics of mocha, roasted blue fruits, plums and cherry spice. The wine enters sweet on the palate, well-structured and with firm tannins mid-palate, followed by a long, balanced finish.
