Menu & Wine Pairings
HONEY AND SOY MARINATED CHICKEN SATAY
Lincourt Sauvignon Blanc Santa Ynez Valley 2011
Grapefruit, lime, and pear. Good acidity with slight minerality on a medium long finish
CHILLED ASPARAGUS & LUMP CRAB SALAD
Lincourt Steel Chardonnay 2012
Perfect as an aperitif or as an accompaniment to grilled chicken or fresh white fish
From day one, the secret to our success with the Steel Chardonnay has been the high quality of fruit from our estate Courtney’s vineyard. 2012 was a perfect growing season in every sense of the word, weather stayed warm and we produced both high quality and quantities of grapes. This 2012 has great viscosity and bright acidity. Crisp aromas and flavors of citrus, lime and white flowers
Italian Sausage, Tomato & Basil Rigatoni
Lincourt Santa Rita Hills Pinot Noir 2012
This Pinot Noir is a wonderful reflection of this cooler vintage. Mouthwatering aromas of red fruits, dried cranberries, and black pepper are all encompassing. The palate is filled with notes of dark plum, fennel bulb, black cherry and hints of cedar and vanilla.
Hanger Steak & Oyster Mushroom
Foley Santa Rita Hills Pinot Noir 2011
This is the perfect accompaniment for pulled pork sliders or chicken coq au vin.
The fruit was hand-picked in the cool morning hours to preserve aromatics before being gently de-stemmed. Lots were fermented separately and racked into barrels before being aged for 17 months in 40% new French oak. From the winery: "Dark and concentrated ruby hues speak to this wine’s Sta. Rita Hill’s pedigree, showcasing bright aromas of raspberry, Bing cherry, leather and root beer. On the palate, this wine’s multiple layers speak to flavors of cherry cola, strawberry marmalade and forest floor."
Chocolate Decadence Torte
Kuleto Estate Cabernet 2010
Offers exotic notes of raspberry liqueur, chocolate-covered fruit, mole, and dried rose petals flow to the top of the glass. In the mouth, it explodes to all corners of the palate and is incredibly flavorful, dense, and juicy. Though bone dry, there is an impression of sweetness that comes from grape skins that ripened without severe heat. This wine is immediately gratifying and does not require decanting
