The winery that took their name from the iconic little black dress that shares a sense of style: simply timeless, playfully elegant, and ready for anything at a moment’s notice. LBD has produced a delightful wine llight pale yellow in color with bright aromas of apple, pear and lemongrass upfront, followed by zesty notes of orange citrus and tangerine. This 84% Pinot Grigio, 10% Chardonnay, 4% Moscato, 2% Viognier wine is fermented in stainless steel tanks and does not undergo malolactic fermentation producing a balanced wine that is fruity on the palate with lively citrus flavors and a touch of floral from the Viognier. Bodega & Vinedos was founded in 1997 by Gustavo Capone and Ambrosio Di Leo, lovers and makers of wine who were inspired by their parents who transmitted their vocation of coopers and taught them that the native soil reaches maximum expression guided by men who devote their work and daily effort. The winery is located in Mendoza, a few miles from the city center at the foothills of the Andes Mountains. It combines a classic building with state-of-the-art technology to produce great wines. Filus has aromas of black raspberry, dark plum and licorice. Chewy, sweet and pungent in the mouth, with dark currant, blackberry, bitter chocolate and violet flavors complicated by mineral and coffee nuances. This 100% Malbec has finishes that are firm and persistent, with building tannins. "Oaky up front, with more than a dash of mocha, caramel and sweet berry fruit aromas. The palate is zesty and honest, with juicy, bright black cherry and berry flavors. Finishes toasty and perky, with one last shot of firm acidity to keep it running long and late." 89 Points, Wine Enthusiast, March 2011 "Color purple/black; expressive nose of exotic spices, incense, and black fruits; easygoing and forward." 90 Points and Best Value, Robert M. Parker, The Wine Advocate.

Wine is best made when a winemaker has choices. The Hope family has been using this philosophy for over 30 years and is evident in the Troublemaker, a blend crafted from multiple varietals and vintages. The majority of wine comes from 2011 vintage, with a remaining portion coming from 2010. The younger wine brings forth a youthful vibrancy and freshness while the base vintage (2011) adds complexity and structure that completes the wine. Inspired by varieties that flourish in Paso Robles and California's Central Coast, Troublemaker is a truly distinct Paso blend consisting of 50% Syrah, 20% Grenache, 10% Mourvedre, 10% Zinfandel and 10 % Petite Sirah. By using a multi-vintage approach, winemaker Austin Hope allows the wine to show uncanny complexity in its youth, yet rich and fruit-forward characteristics that make it ready upon release. With rich aromatics that display hints of smoke and violets, bright fruit on the palate and a long finish, Troublemaker shows amazing depth and structure.

Along Live Oak Road in Oakley, California sits two ancient vineyards that contribute to this Zinfandel. In a region where hot, sunny days are cooled by evening winds off the San Joaquin and Sacramento River delta, both vineyards are head-trained and dry-farmed, in the old world ways of the Italian and Portuguese immigrants who planted them prior to 1900. In the sand-soil of the delta, the vines root deep and produce a scant but intense crop that is consistently among our most unique and complex, ultimately producing a robust and intense wine. Cline’s Live Oak Zinfandel is a big, ripe Zinfandel in the classic style for which our winery is known. It displays notes of berries, spice, and licorice, and has a firm, balanced structure of acid and fine-grained tannins. A full-bodied wine, Live Oak will drink well now and age beautifully over the next ten years. Enjoy this powerful Zinfandel with roasted or grilled meats, and pasta dishes with hearty sauces.
