Hors D’oeuvres Amuse Course-Ricotta Crostini with Roasted Tomato and Pancetta Parmesan Arancini with Arrabbiata Sauce
The Zeni Lugana Alte 2021 is made from 100% Trebbiano di Lugana grapes that are hand-selected at the peak of ripeness. Vinification starts with maceration on the skins followed by must fermentation at controlled temperatures. Ageing occurs in stainless steel vats. The wine is straw yellow with a greenish tinge. The bouquet is intense and rich, with fruity hints of peach and citrus fruits. On the palate the wine is fresh, full-bodied and delicate. The wine is recommended as an aperitif and can be served with main dishes of fish and white meats.

Salad Course Butternut Squash Salad with Arugula, Tomato, Crispy Prosciutto, Pecorino Cheese, and Lemon Vinaigrette
The FEF Collection Rosso Veronese is made from 100% Corvina grapes grown in hilly soil of morainic and volcanic origin. The grapes are hand-selected from the best bunches then vinification is via traditional skin fermentation followed by 2-3 weeks of maceration. The wine is then aged in stainless steel vats for 10 months. The wine has a bright ruby red color and a bouquet with fruity hints and spicy notes. On the palate the wine is intense and persistent. This wine pairs well with pasta with sauce, grilled red meat and cheese.

Beef Course Short Rib Ragu on Gnocchi Topped with Burrata
The 2019 Zeni Costalago Rosso Veronese is made from Veronese typical grapes that are hand-selected from the best bunches then left in small crates to raisin for a while. Vinification is via traditional skin fermentation followed by 2-3 weeks of maceration. Then the wine is aged in oak barrels for 1-2 years depending on the vintage, followed by a short stay in stainless steel vats. You will see an intense ruby red color and, on the nose, there are floral notes with hints of well-ripened fruits. On the palate the wine is velvety and lingering, and it pairs well with grilled red meat, cheese and pasta with sauce. James Suckling 92 points.

Seafood Course Lobster Ravioli in a Basil Roma Sauce with Salumi and Spinach
The 2019 Zeni Valpolicella Ripasso comes from the Valpolicella Classica region north of Verona. The grape varieties used are Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella. The grapes picked early are allowed to raisin before being vinified with the rest of the grapes picked late in the harvest. Traditional skin fermentation is followed by 10-15 days of maceration. After fermentation the unpressed Amarone skins are added to the Valpolicella wine according to the Traditional “Ripasso” technique. The wine then ages in oak for 10-12 months. The wine has a deep ruby red color, and the bouquet is full bodied with hints of black cherry. The wine pairs well with grilled red meat, pasta and fermented cheese. Top 100 90 points.

Dessert Course Vanilla Panna Cotta with Poached Cherry Sauce and Mascarpone Cream
The 2019 Zeni Amarone della Valpolicella Classico comes from the Valpolicella Classica zone. It is made from a blend of Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella. The grapes are hand-selected and allowed to raisin for 2-3 months in small crates followed by traditional skin fermentation and 15-20 days of maceration. The wine is then aged in oak barrels for 2-3 years depending on the vintage. The wine has an intense ruby red color, and the bouquet is vibrant and fruity, with hints of well-ripened fruit and spices. On the palate the wine is velvety and well rounded. The wine pairs well with red meat, game and fermented cheese. Open the bottle at least 30 minutes before serving. This wine is not rated yet but the 2018 vintage was 93 points from James Suckling.
Zeni Amarone Classico 2019
Chip Wine
The 2016 Zeni Amarone della Valpolicella Barriques comes from the Valpoicella Classica zone. The grape varieties include Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella. The grapes are hand selected and allowed to raisin in small crates for 4 months followed by traditional skin fermentation and 20-25 days of maceration. The wine is then aged in French oak for 12-24 months depending on the vintage. The color is a deep ruby red with a garnet red tinge. The bouquet is pervasive, with notes of vanilla and hints of cocoa and spices. On the palate the wine is full-bodied and pleasantly tannin-rich, with notes of vanilla. The wine should be enjoyed within 8-10 years of bottling and should be opened at least 30 minutes before serving. James Suckling 94 points.
