The Giacosa family does a great job with its high-end wines and its entry-level products alike. The 2020 Roero Arneis is a great example of a wine that knocks out simplicity while maintaining a great sense of inner freshness and complexity. This was a great vintage for the popular Arneis white grape that shows a wide range of tropical perfumes with papaya, citrus and Williams pear. The wine also boasts rich inner fiber, good fruit weight and concentration. At this young stage, it is less defined by its inherent minerality and more defined by those exotic fruit tones. But you can expect the mineral tones to take on more importance a year or two from now. Robert Parker 93 points.

The Bruno Giacosa Dolcetto d’Alba 2020 displays a deep purple color and a perfumed nose that highlights the fruity characteristics of the Dolcetto grape. This wine is bursting with rich, ripe cherry and plum fruit flavor through to the spicy finish. Ready to drink, serve slightly chilled. Pair with salami, sausages, pastas with mushrooms or meat sauces and pizzas. Also great with burgers, ribs and roast chicken.

The 2019 Bruno Giacosa's Barbera d'Alba's completed malolactic fermentation for 15 days in stainless steel vats and was then transferred to oak barrels for 14 months. The wine has an intense ruby red color and presents expressive aromas typical of Barbera with cherry and forest fruit notes matched with a balanced, lively mouthfeel and acidic freshness on the finish. The 14 month oak barrel ageing is felt through its notes of vanilla. Pair this wine with duck, goose and other game as well as pasta dishes.

There was 17 days of malolactic fermentation in steel vats followed by 14 months of refinement in French oak. The nose presents intense aromas of red fruit, blackcurrants, and raspberries. The wine expresses a great freshness and structure. Pair with beef, lamb, venison or poultry.

The Blanc de Noirs is made from the Pinot Noir varietal but vinified as a white sparkler. This means that a rapid separation was necessary as well as a particularly soft pressing to avoid any color from the skin in the juice. This sparkler offers all the delicacy of red fruits and flowers with good structure at the mid palate and no tannins. Always made from the varietals classed AOC Crémant d'Alsace, the Crémant grapes are harvested before the other grapes in order to take advantage of their best balance and harmony. The wine is produced according to the methode traditionnelle, This is a deliciously ripe, full-bodied wine with all the red berry fruits, orange zest and acidity that you could want. It's finely made with a creamy mousse and a fresh and fruity aftertaste. Wine Enthusiast 90 points

The 2017 Bruno Giacosa Barolo is made from the Nebbiolo grape. Spring rains in 2017 mitigated the hot, dry summer, with an ideal September for ripening Nebbiolo. Malolactic fermentation for 20 days in stainless steel vats was followed by 32 months in Botti casks made of French oak. Sweet berries, smoke, cedar and olives on the nose. Floral. Full-bodied with firm, chewy tannins and a pretty background and ripe fruit. Flavorful finish. Hints of bitter citrus and smoke, too. Very complex. Powerful for Falletto. James Suckling 97 points
