The making of the 2020 Sauvignon Blanc utilized traditional methods of hand-harvesting and whole bunch pressing to ensure the highest quality juice. The result is a rich expression of the varietal. Honeydew melons, nectarines, and white peach all come to mind when tasting this wine. It is a great example of Russian River Valley Sauvignon Blanc. If you close your eyes and sip, you may see visions of the Loire Valley or perhaps the Marlborough region of the South Island of New Zealand. Wine Enthusiast: 92 points.

Our Frei Brothers Russian River Valley Pinot Noir is a smooth, elegant and flavorful expression of this renowned Pinot Noir region. Bright aromas of black cherry, orange peel, and bergamot rise from the glass. On the expressive palate, velvety layers of plum, pomegranate and blackcurrant are underscored by spicy tones of mocha, toasted oak and hints of leather. Mild tannins and appealing structure further refine the palate before a long, fruit-driven finish. Pair this Pinot Noir with a charcuterie of locally sourced bites, grilled salmon or roasted pork chops with spiced apples.

The term CV refers to the original vineyard holdings on our estate, Continental Vineyards, and this very limited wine is only produced in exceptional vintage years. In 2018, we achieved perfect fruit ripeness, resulting in a wine of outstanding depth. Beginning with the nose: blackcurrants, pine needles, along with underlying oak spices paint the picture of international appeal. This cohesion of integrated flavors easily translates to a mouth feel full of blueberry sensations and silky tannins. The linear finish leaves a rejuvenated palate that is not overwhelmed by over structured tannin, showing that a bigger wine is not always better. James Suckling: 93 points

The Louis M Martini Gnarly Vine Zinfandel is crafted entirely from old vines—some more than 120 years old—on our Monte Rosso Vineyard. The 2015 Gnarly Vine Zinfandel is a big, full-bodied wine with rich blackberry and pepper aromas that lead to a sweep of dark fruit flavors, including blackberry reduction, plum and black currant. The intense fruit blends with layers of spice notes ranging from fresh peppercorns to clove and baking spices. The vibrant and robust wine is balanced by velvety tannins and the spice and minerality characteristic of Monte Rosso’s iron-rich volcanic soils. The extraordinarily long, luxurious finish includes hints of vanilla, pepper and molasses. Wine Advocate: 95 points
